Let’s be honest for a second.

We’re surrounded by content that’s been optimized, analyzed, and spit out by AI faster than we can finish our morning coffee ☕. The pressure to keep up is real. And if you’re a creative, it can feel like you’re constantly asking:

“What’s the point of making art if the algorithm decides what matters?”

But here's what I’ve learned lately:
Art is still so damn worth it 💡—even if it never trends, goes viral, or fits anyone’s expectations.

Let me tell you why.

 If You Can’t Stop Thinking About It… It’s Calling You 📞

Some stories, ideas, or pieces of art just won’t leave you alone. You keep workshopping them in your mind. They interrupt your sleep, your walk, your content calendar.
That’s not the algorithm talking. That’s your intuition. That’s your soul telling you, “Make this. It matters.”

I had videos I sat on for months—ones that felt “too personal,” “too sad,” or “too weird.” Stories about grief, estranged family, mystical experiences... stuff no one asked to hear about.

But I couldn’t stop thinking about them. And when I finally made them, even if just for me, it felt like letting go of a weight I didn’t even know I was carrying. 💫

Even if no one watches, it still has value 🧡

You don’t need an audience for your art to matter.

Sometimes, making it is the healing. The expression is the purpose.

I processed things I didn’t even realize I’d buried. I cried while filming. I doubted myself the entire time. But when it was done, I felt proud. Not because it was “performing” but because it was true.

🎧 Creating is how we metabolize life.

Whether it’s joy, rage, heartbreak, or confusion—your art gives it shape.

And here's the magic: what feels deeply personal is often deeply universal. People might resonate in ways you never expected.

Ask yourself: Is this for ME or the algorithm?

When you’re creating just to hit the sweet spot of SEO, hashtags, or reels—it’s easy to lose your voice.

AI will always lean toward what's predictable. But you are not predictable. You’re a walking, feeling, contradiction-filled human with a story that no bot can replicate.

Art is the stuff that doesn’t care if it’s “on brand.”

Art says: “This is what I’ve lived through. This is what I felt.”

And that’s exactly what makes it so powerful 🤯

If you’re only making things because you think people will like them, pause. Ask yourself:
Would I still make this if no one ever saw it?
If the answer is yes—you’re in art territory.

People might not “get it”—and that’s okay 🙃
Some people will scroll right past your story. Some might unfollow. Some might think, “Why would she post that?”

And guess what? That’s totally fine.

When I shared parts of myself that felt off-brand—things like trauma, spirituality, deep grief—I knew some people would be confused. I also knew it didn’t matter.

Your art is not meant for everyone. It’s meant for someone.

And more importantly—it’s meant for you. 🫵🏻

Creating from truth = freedom 🎉
There’s a special kind of joy that comes from making something just because it wants to exist.

No pressure. No approval-seeking. Just flow. 🍃

Whether it’s a poem, a blog, a voice memo, or a video you only ever send to yourself—it counts. It’s art. It’s healing. It’s human.

And honestly? That kind of creative freedom is rare in a world obsessed with output and performance.

So… is art still worth it?
